Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shen Po (ranked 2345 p4p, 297 weight class) and Jose Luciano (ranked 2714 p4p, 341 weight class). Po comes into the arena with Ei-tetsu Hayashi & 木下伸市 blaring out of the sound system. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Po connects with a crisp jab.

and Po counters with a right hand to the body.
Jose Luciano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Luciano does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Po was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Po has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Luciano clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

That was a close round but I would say that Shen Po will probably get the nod.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Luciano is in a bad position with Po working for a choke. Luciano manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Po is on top in guard.

Luciano isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Po stacks Luciano on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Po!
Po creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Luciano sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Luciano is looking to regain half guard here but Po keeps moving and retains side control.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Luciano lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Po has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Po and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Shen Po.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Po, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
