Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergey Kharinov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Lassiter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kharinov comes into the arena with Metallica - For Whom The Bell Tolls blaring out of the sound system. Lassiter has chosen Chumbawamba - Tubthumping as his entrance music. Paul Lassiter has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kharinov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lassiter circles away quickly and effectively.
Lassiter fails with an attempt to clinch.
Lassiter feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Kharinov's calf.
Kharinov lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

It looks like Paul Lassiter has been cut.
Lassiter is looking to clinch.
Lassiter falls off balance throwing a combination
and Kharinov counters with a nice body shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lassiter dodges the punch combination from Kharinov.
Lassiter wants to clinch but Kharinov slips to the side
and Lassiter takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Lassiter tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Kharinov counters with a left and a right that stings Lassiter.

Kharinov lands a big uppercut and Lassiter crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Lassiter looks OK. Kharinov waves Lassiter back to his feet!

That has opened up Paul Lassiter's cut even more.
Lassiter looks gassed!
Kharinov feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Lassiter sprawling to the canvas! Lassiter rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Kharinov finish him?!

Lassiter is rocked!
Paul Lassiter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kharinov slips under a jab from Lassiter.
Kharinov cracks Lassiter with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Lassiter looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Kharinov finish him?
Lassiter is still on wobbly legs! Can Kharinov finish him?

The cut above Paul Lassiter's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Lassiter wants to slow Kharinov down by chopping away at his legs.
Lassiter seems to have recovered his senses.
Kharinov moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Lassiter goes down! Can Kharinov finish him!?

Kharinov stands up from Lassiter's guard - Kharinov perhaps looking for a knockout.
Kharinov scores with a sloppy right hand. Lassiter should have avoided that one.

Paul Lassiter's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Kharinov ducks under a wild hook from Lassiter.
Lassiter clinches but Kharinov breaks the clinch
and Kharinov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Paul Lassiter's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
