The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marquez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Akishev scoring well with a low kick there.
Marquez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Marquez misses with a straight right.
Marquez lands a really nice looking cross but Akishev seems unphased.
Akishev throws a nice outside leg kick.
Akishev lets loose with a powerful body kick. Marquez will feel that in the morning.
Marquez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Akishev tries to land a front kick but Marquez steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Marquez appears to be looking for a big counter.
Marquez looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Akishev tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Marquez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Marquez throws an overhand right that lands on Akishev's shoulder, as Akishev tries to avoid the shot.
Akishev scores with a spinning back kick!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Akishev throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Akishev scores with a head kick. Marquez tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Marquez swats away the attempt to clinch by Akishev.

Akishev drops Marquez with a beautiful combination! Marquez stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Akishev is looking for the KO!

Marquez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Akishev lands a nice looking kick to the body. Marquez takes a step back to recover.
Oh Marquez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Akishev plants his feet and throws a brutal three punch combo that sends Marquez swiftly into unconsciousness! Right, left, right! Boom, boom, boom! Marquez face plants, battered and bloodied! He might never be the same again after that finish!
