Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Wayne Gracie (ranked 2129 p4p, 211 weight class) and William Jaktic (ranked 4216 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes to the cage accompanied by Thriller by Michael Jackson. William Jaktic has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, William Jaktic!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Jaktic's head backwards.
Gracie definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Jaktic fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Gracie appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Gracie throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Jaktic on the side of the head.
Jaktic shoots in looking for a takedown. Gracie tries to sprawl out of it but Jaktic keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gracie manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jaktic darts in looking for a takedown but Gracie gets double underhooks and turns Jaktic into the cage.
John Wayne Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of William Jaktic.
Jaktic fails to land the takedown.
Gracie scores with a hook to the body. Jaktic takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jaktic fails to land with a series of punches.
Jaktic dives in for a single leg takedown but Gracie sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Gracie dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Gracie lands with an overhand left.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Gracie lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Jaktic at a distance.
Jaktic on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Gracie drives through with a takedown into guard.
Gracie controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Gracie cracks Jaktic with a solid left hand.
Gracie lands a couple of elbows.
Gracie makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Gracie postures up and lands a big shot to Jaktic's brow.
Gracie chips away with some ground and pound.
Gracie seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jaktic is looking to stand back up but Gracie counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Jaktic.
Jaktic on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gracie passes the guard and advances to mount!
Jaktic really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Gracie postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jaktic looks a forlorn figure.
Jaktic wants to control but Gracie is having none of it.

Gracie has hold of Jaktic's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jaktic manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Gracie throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Jaktic has his hands clasped together but Gracie breaks the hold and Jaktic is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Gracie!
