The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schaffner fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tan manages to avoid it.
Schaffner lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Tan at a distance.
Tan tries to bum rush Schaffner with a series of wild strikes but Schaffner uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Tan looks to land a combination but Schaffner avoids it well.
Schaffner thows a body shot but no joy.
A big left from Tan misses.
Tan throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Tan misses with a wild combination.
Schaffner staying out of range there.

Schaffner bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Schaffner scores with a hook to the body. Tan takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Schaffner uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tan.
Tan throws a lazy right hand but Schaffner sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tan throws out a loose jab but Schaffner uses good head movement to avoid it.
Schaffner comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Tan throws a hook to the side of Schaffner's head but Schaffner sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Schaffner falls off balance throwing a combination
and Tan counters with a one-two to the body.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Nice uppercut lands for Schaffner. That snapped Tan's head back.
Schaffner is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Tan rather than just go for the knockout.

Schaffner lands with a right that hurts Tan. Tan looks to clinch but Schaffner throws a short knee that drops Tan. This one is all over!
