Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Randy Randleman (ranked 2532 p4p, 294 weight class) and Gvido Linga (ranked 4131 p4p, 415 weight class). Randleman comes into the arena with Bloodhound Gang - Bad Touch blaring out of the sound system. Randy Randleman could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Gvido Linga's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Linga moves out of range as Randleman strikes.
Randleman jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Linga shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Randleman sprawls well. Randleman wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Linga gets slowly back to his feet.
Randleman comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Randleman tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Linga was well out of range. Poor timing from Randleman.
Randleman stuffs the takedown attempt from Linga. Linga gets slowly back to his feet.
Randy Randleman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gvido Linga.

Linga gets a double leg takedown into Randleman's guard.
Linga wants to pass the guard but Randleman is keeping the position.
Randleman keeping moving, preventing Linga from controlling successfully.
Linga keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Randleman's head.
Randleman is controlling Linga's posture.
Linga wants to control from the top but Randleman keeps moving.

Randleman can't keep his opponent in guard - Linga advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Randleman is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at GWad's Playpen that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Linga wants to work for an arm triangle but Randleman is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Randleman is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Randleman is staying active underneath Linga, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Linga shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Randleman napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Linga has an Americana. Randleman didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Linga is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Linga hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
