Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rigger Bae (ranked 4419 p4p, 0 weight class) and Black Man (ranked 4649 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rigger Bae!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Black Man!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Donatello Bradman and Topper Green.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man darts in looking for a takedown but Bae gets double underhooks and turns Man into the cage.
As Man looks to move away, Bae throws a big counter combo but Man just gets out of the way.
Bae dodges the punch combination from Man.
Man shoots in for a double leg but Bae sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Bae closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Man tries to pull guard but Bae forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Rigger Bae has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Black Man.
Bae throws a punch but it's blocked by Man.
Man tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Bae smiles and moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Man defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bae.
Bae dives in and grabs Man's left leg, looking for a takedown. Man pushes down on Bae's head and hops out.

Bae gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Man escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Man.

Bae leaves Man with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Bae shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Man defends it nicely.
Man appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Man takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Bae is trying hard to land a takedown here. Man sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Man fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Bae is out of range.
Bae fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Man steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Bae.
Man goes for a double leg but Bae avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bae continues to drive forward.

and Man counters with a series of strikes. Bae will be more careful next time no doubt.
Man is looking to land body kicks.

Man darts in and clinches Bae up against the cage.
Man drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bae taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Bae jumps guard.
Bae is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Man wants to control from the top but Bae keeps moving.

Man is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Man trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Bae lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Bae controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Bae trying to control but Man is working from the bottom.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Man is trying to control the position but Bae postures up.
Bae slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Man looking for a guillotine here but Bae defends easily.
Bae pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Man is keeping the position for now.
Bae might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bae is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Rigger Bae will probably get the nod.

Man darts in looking for a takedown but Bae gets double underhooks and turns Man into the cage.

Bae gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Man breaks from the clinch.
Man tries for a takedown but Bae sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Man swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Man tries to keep at a distance but Bae has taken the fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bae manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Bae prevents the takedown attempt.
Rigger Bae has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Black Man.

Bae decides to pull guard.
Man trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Bae wants to improve his position but instead Man has moved into half guard.
Bae wants to control but Man is keeping busy.
Man tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bae knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Bae keeping hold of Man's head, controlling as best he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bae regains full guard. Nicely done.

Man passes Bae's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Man prevents Bae from improving his position.
Bae is positioning himself well to prevent Man advancing to mount.
Bae is trying to get back to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bae works his way to full guard. Good work.
Man trying to control the position from guard on top but Bae is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Man is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bae is on top in guard.

Bae wants to stand and escape but instead Man has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.


Bae throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Man escapes and throws Bae's legs to the side, diving into side control!

You can see the frustration on Bae's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Man misses with the ground and pound.
Man trying to control the position but Bae is working away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bae keeping his opponent close.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Rigger Bae will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Man tries to close the distance and clinch but Bae swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Man is working for takedown but Bae is calmly controlling the position for now.
Bae fails to pull guard.
Man is looking for a takedown.
Man tries to stall but Bae uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Bae breaks the clinch.
Bae wants to clinch.

A shot to the body from Man misses

and Bae counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Bae manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Bae breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Bae closes the distance and clinches up with Man, looking for a takedown. Bae pushes Man against the cage but Man circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Bae tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Man is looking for the big counter here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rigger Bae. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Man has taken the fight to the clinch.
Bae jumps guard but Man stands there with Bae around his waist. Bae gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Man tries to pull guard but Bae holds him up against the cage and eventually Man drops back down to his feet.

Bae pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A head kick misses from Bae.

Man rushes Bae and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Bae tries a knee to the head but Man blocks it.

Man manages to break the clinch.
Man fails with an attempt to clinch.
Man tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bae paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Man has a takedown stuffed.
Bae wants to clinch up but Man keeps it at a distance.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Man shoots in and drives through. Bae sprawls well.
Man takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Bae looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Man throws an overhand right that lands on Bae's shoulder, as Bae tries to avoid the shot.

Bae shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Man napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Bae is looking to take a break and control but Man is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Man managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Bae.
Bae is putting a hurting on Man here, landing some big shots from side control.

Man is trying to control Bae's posture but Bae avoids it.
Man regains half guard.
Man wants to control but Bae is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Man tries to kick Bae off but Bae keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Man is looking to improve his position.
Man gets full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bae works a leg free and moves into half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Rigger Bae showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bae, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
