The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pitung wants to clinch up but Cubbedge keeps it at a distance.
Cubbedge wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Cubbedge tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Pitung paws at him with a jab and circles away.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Pitung! But no joy.
Pitung throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Cubbedge stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Pitung throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Cubbedge sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Pitung ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Pitung moves out of range of the body kick from Cubbedge .
Cubbedge throws a looping overhand right but Pitung ducks down to avoid it.
Cubbedge tries to land a front kick but Pitung steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Cubbedge slips a straight right by Pitung.
Cubbedge throws a big counter combination but Pitung scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Cubbedge fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Pitung explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Pitung throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Cubbedge on the side of the head.

It looks like Britt Cubbedge has been cut.
Cubbedge is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Pitung.
Cubbedge darts in trying to clinch
and Pitung connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Danga de danga de dang - Pitung scores with a four punch combination!
Cubbedge tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
