Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Snow (ranked 5832 p4p, 589 weight class) and Robinson David (ranked 5856 p4p, 591 weight class). David has chosen Space Cowboy as his entrance music. Robinson David has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jon Snow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Robinson David!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Paul Tew and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Snow closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. David quickly recovers to half guard.
David is trying to stand.
Snow works his foot free and advances to mount.
Snow wants to control the pace but David is squirming around nicely.

Snow has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of David's face.
David is squirming around, avoiding Snow's attempts to control the action.

Snow is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, David has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Snow putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Snow has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Snow is looking to take a break and control but David is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Snow looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Snow is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Snow wants to control but David is keeping him busy.

Snow stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Snow manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Snow escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Snow is looking to score with low kicks.
David connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

David fails with the takedown

and Snow counters by moving into the clinch.

Snow pulls guard successfully.
Snow trying to keep a closed guard but David is proving a slippery customer.
Snow is really struggling to control David but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Snow escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. David gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw David working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Snow has David pulled in close to control his posture.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
David postures up.
Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Snow has taken the fight to the clinch.
Snow lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Snow blocks a punch to the side of the head.
David working hard to break the clinch.
David wants to get back to striking at distance but Snow won't allow it.

David is fighting off a takedown attempt but Snow is just too persistent for him and manages to trip David to the mat. David regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Snow wants to control from the top but David keeps moving.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Snow lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

David really wants to buck Snow off and get back to his feet.
Snow is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. David can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

David's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
David takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Snow goes for an armbar but David turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from David.

Snow shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Snow was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Snow decides to stand back up. Snow steps back and let's David get back to his feet.

David fails to pull the fight into his guard.
David is looking for a takedown.

David misses with the head strike.

Snow pulls guard effortlessly.
Snow wants to stand but David is controlling the position.
David loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Snow lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Snow's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

And that's the end of the fight!
Jon Snow showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Snow, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
