Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jeronimo Barcelos (ranked 2444 p4p, 0 weight class) and Syco Souirrel (ranked 23002 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souirrel fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Barcelos is pressed up against the cage. Souirrel has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Barcelos down to the mat. Barcelos avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Souirrel throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Barcelos postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Souirrel is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Barcelos, into his guard.

Souirrel changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Barcelos tries to avoid it but Souirrel manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Barcelos to the ground. Barcelos escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
