The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Lou da Vinci and Dean Styles.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souza displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Tan throws out the jab.
Despite the aggression on Souza's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Tan throws a head kick that misses.
Souza appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Souza is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Tan.

Souza gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Tan drops down looking for an ankle pick but Souza pulls his leg out and moves away.

Souza looking to score a takedown here. Tan is defending well but Souza drives through and ends up in Tan's guard.
Tan wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Souza manages to pass to side control.

Souza throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Souza working over Tan with some ground and pound. Tan looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Souza in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Tan tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Souza!
