Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Perez (ranked 3068 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zulhazrul Amin (ranked 4473 p4p, 383 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Miguel Perez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zulhazrul Amin!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Anthony Taglia and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Amin.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
An elbow from Amin crashes against the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Amin tries for a kimura but Perez is defending well.
Amin tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Perez tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Amin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Perez wants to control but Amin postures up.
Amin advances nicely into full mount.

Amin has hold of Perez's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Perez manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Amin tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Amin moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Perez has worked his arm free - good work by Perez!

Amin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Perez has escaped the position, nice work there.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Amin decides to stand back up. Amin steps back and let's Perez get back to his feet.
Amin throws a head kick but Perez moves out of range.
Perez appears to be looking for a big counter.
Perez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Amin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Perez somewhat.
Horrible takedown attempt by Perez or perhaps it was just good defense by Amin, which made it look bad.

Amin throws a head kick but Perez moves out of range.
Amin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A nice inside leg kick there by Perez. That's going to slow Amin down.

Amin misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Perez.
Perez gets underhooks to prevent Amin's takedown attempt.
Amin wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Perez has him pressed against the cage.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Perez tries a knee to the head but Amin blocks it.

That was a close second round but I would say that Miguel Perez will probably get the nod.
