The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Curry blocks a head kick by Thompson.
Curry has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Thompson is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Curry looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Thompson takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Curry misses with a combination

and Thompson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Curry is trying to push Thompson away but Thompson has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Curry breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Curry avoids the head kick by Thompson.
Curry moves out of range of the leg kick from Thompson.
Curry changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Curry finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Curry has taken the fight to the clinch.
Thompson slows down the pace here.

Curry is trying to force a seperation but Thompson has the dominant position.
Curry is trying to break the clinch but Thompson has him pressed against the cage.
Curry drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Thompson gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Thompson throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Curry blocks it with crossed arms.

Thompson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Thompson tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Thompson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Thompson showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Thompson seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Curry is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
