The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

James shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. James showed some decent athleticism there.

McGregor kicks off James and gets to his feet.
James looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
McGregor lands with a right hand.

It looks like Tyson James has been cut.
McGregor keeps James at a distance using the push kick.
McGregor moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
McGregor works the jab nicely.
We've been told by McGregor's head coaches at Doom's Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
James walks into a straight right hand from McGregor.
McGregor throws a series of punches but James avoids them all with ease.
James takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
McGregor thuds his right hand into James's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
McGregor scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

James is rocked!
McGregor comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
James is still on wobbly legs! Can McGregor finish him?

McGregor drives through and clinches with James against the cage.

McGregor manages to break the clinch.
James tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but McGregor swivels and escapes.

James walks into a stiff left hand from McGregor.

McGregor scores with a kick to the body.
James shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
McGregor fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
James on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
McGregor walks forward and throws a big overhand right! James drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! McGregor swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from James's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

After winning the bout, Ricco McGregor thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
Tyson James spoke after the fight, saying 'When I am defeated, I stay humble. I was defeated by the better man today. I wish Fray the best in his future title defenses. I will return to the top and get that belt! '.
