Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between Serious Dark (ranked 6334 p4p, 445 weight class) and Kurt Shann (ranked 20192 p4p, 516 weight class). Dark's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Beat on the beat- The Ramones. Kurt Shann is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 15 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kurt Shann!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dark stuns Shann with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Dark dodges the punch combination from Shann.
Dark throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Shann throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
No joy there for Shann, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Shann will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Shann looks to land a combination. Dark sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Dark is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Shann.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Dark counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Shann steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Dark.
Despite the aggression on Shann's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Dark throws a lazy right hand but Shann sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Shann throws out a loose jab but Dark uses good head movement to avoid it.
Dark jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Dark lands the left hand.
Dark slips a jab and a cross from Shann.
Shann has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Shann there as he acknowledges the shot.

Kurt Shann seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dark scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Shann is rocked!

Dark forces Shann back against the ropes and clinches.
Shann is still on wobbly legs! Can Dark finish him?
Dark lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Shann.
With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Dark creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Dark cracks Shann with a big uppercut, right up the middle and Shann goes down! Oh, he's hurt! He's bigtime hurt! The referee is giving him a chance to get back to his feet - 4,5,6,7, no, he's called it off! Shann wasn't going to make it and the fight is over!

Serious Dark was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
