The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanner throws a right and a left that both miss.
Tanner misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tanner rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Johnson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Johnson seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Tanner throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
enabling Johnson to counter with a crisp jab.
Tanner will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Johnson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Tanner gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tanner ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Johnson moves away.

Johnson moves into range and clinches up with Tanner.
Johnson lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Tanner backwards.
Johnson comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

It looks like Jason Tanner has been cut.

Johnson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Johnson lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Johnson connects with a nasty looking knee right to Tanner's face.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Johnson creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Johnson shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Tanner lands a high kick!

Johnson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Tanner is looking to clinch but Johnson is avoiding it.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Johnson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Fleece Johnson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Johnson lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Johnson throws a quick inside leg kick.

and before Tanner can reset, Johnson rushes him with a swarm of punches, sending him crashing to the floor, in all sorts of trouble! Tanner is trying to beat the count but we're up to 6 already and he's nowhere near. 7,8... he's up! He's going to continue!

Tanner is rocked!
Johnson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Tanner is still on wobbly legs! Can Johnson finish him?
Tanner looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Tanner tries to clinch but Johnson moves out of range.
Tanner seems to have recovered his senses.
Tanner drops his guard momentarily, allowing Johnson to crack him with a picture perfect lead left hook! Boom! Down goes Tanner! Oh, he's in big trouble - I don't like his chances here as the referee's count reaches 5. 6,7,8,9...10! He's out! Johnson takes it!

After winning the bout, Fleece Johnson thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
