The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bad Man throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Solis was covering up waiting for the punch and Bad Man finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Solis had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bad Man defends it easily.
Bad Man trying to control the position from guard on top but Solis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bad Man is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Bad Man stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Solis swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Solis is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Bad Man wants to control from the top but Solis keeps moving.
Solis is pulling down on Bad Man's head. It's preventing any offense from Bad Man, at least for the moment.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Solis gets a double leg takedown into Bad Man's guard.

Bad Man is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Solis defends well.

Bad Man escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Solis gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Solis content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Bad Man has locked up a guillotine! Bad Man's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Solis is holding on here and Bad Man must be using up a lot of energy. Solis has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Bad Man gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
