The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wade instigates a clinch.
Wade wants to break the clinch but can't.
Wade is looking to break free of the clinch but Gabriel has double underhooks.

Gabriel escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gabriel takes a shot to the body in his stride.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wade is defended easily by Gabriel.
Gabriel is looking to clinch but Wade is avoiding it.
Wade misses with a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gabriel gets a clinch.

Gabriel breaks the clinch.
Gabriel throws a lazy head kick
and Wade counters with a left and a right that stings Gabriel.

Wade clinches.

Gabriel swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Wade is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Wade is trying to force a seperation but Gabriel has the dominant position.

Gabriel manages to break the clinch.
Wade fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gabriel avoids it really well and circles away.

Wade rushes Gabriel and presses him up against the cage.

Gabriel breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Wade clinches with his opponent.
Wade throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Gabriel blocks it with crossed arms.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Gabriel breaks from the clinch.

Wade moves into range and clinches up with Gabriel.
Wade is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Gabriel is defending well for now.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Wade.

Gabriel escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Wade gets a clinch.

Gabriel breaks the clinch.
Wade dives in for a single leg takedown but Gabriel sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Didier Gabriel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Wade.
Wade shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gabriel sprawls well. Gabriel wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wade gets slowly back to his feet.

Wade fails with the takedown.
Wade shoots in but Gabriel avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Gabriel is looking for a counter combo.
Wade throws a leg kick

and Gabriel counters with a big takedown. That's hurt Wade! Gabriel smells blood and goes in for the kill. Serveral hard shots later and the ref calls an end to the fight by TKO!
