PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Darren Hunter (ranked 4346 p4p, 431 weight class) and Test Six (ranked 4911 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hunter clinches with his opponent.

Hunter is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Six gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Hunter lands a left hand that snaps the head of Six backwards.

Hunter gets control of Six's arms and successfully pulls guard. Hunter will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Hunter has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Six can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Hunter lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Hunter slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Hunter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Six keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hunter is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Six knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Hunter has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Six moves in looking to clinch but Hunter pushes him off.

Hunter has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Six is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Hunter ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Hunter no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Six wants to control from the top but Hunter keeps moving.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Six really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hunter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hunter looking to sit in guard and control but Six gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Hunter is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Six wants to get back to his feet.

Hunter is working for a submission of some sort.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hunter wants to pass to mount but Six is defending the position.

It looks like Test Six has been cut.
