The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Semenov swings widly with a right hand
and Kirchen counters with a shoot takedown. Semenov fights it but they end up in guard.
Semenov is wriggling around but Kirchen manages to pass to half guard.
Kirchen is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Semenov has managed to free his arm - good work.
Kirchen is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Semenov is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kirchen's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kirchen's back!
Kirchen rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Semenov not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Semenov tries to stand but can't do so whilst Kirchen controls his leg.

Kirchen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Semenov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Kirchen is tightening it up a little... Semenov has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Semenov reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Semenov taps out! Nice BJJ there by Kirchen!
