Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chris George (ranked 24403 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kirk Fitzpatrick (ranked 6217 p4p, 0 weight class). Fitzpatrick has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
George closes the distance and clinches up with Fitzpatrick, looking for a takedown. George pushes Fitzpatrick against the cage but Fitzpatrick circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Fitzpatrick looks winded!
George goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
George tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Fitzpatrick defends well and George ends up having to push Fitzpatrick into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Fitzpatrick stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fitzpatrick wants it to stay on the feet.

After the fight, Chris George was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
