Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Robson (ranked 5094 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rain Cain (ranked 5060 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bobby Robson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rain Cain!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Sano and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cain lands a glancing blow to the side of Robson's head.

Robson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Cain pushes Robson off but Robson dives into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cain wants to get back to his feet but Robson is dominant here and he's now got Cain's back!
Robson is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Robson is looking for the choke from the back position but Cain is controlling his hands well.

Cain is trying to get back to his feet but Robson has full control of the position and if anything, Cain has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Cain avoids the strikes from Robson.

Robson is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Cain knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Cain for a finish.

Robson just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Cain really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Robson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Cain has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Robson.
Robson controlling well, preventing Cain from escaping the position.
Robson has good solid back control here.

Robson is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Cain defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Cain covering up well under a barage of strikes.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Robson misses with a hook
and Cain counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Robson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cain moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
As Robson backs off Cain throws a huge counter combo but Robson manages to avoid it all.
Robson gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Bobby Robson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cain misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Robson.
Cain looks to land a combination. Robson sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
A left and a right from Cain both land. Nice combination.
Robson throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Cain's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Robson looks for a takedown but Cain sprawls well.
A jab from Cain does it's job there.
Cain stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Robson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Cain avoids a kick to the body.
Cain is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

and Robson counters with an inside leg kick.
Cain swings for the body but Robson moves out of range.
Robson darts in looking for a takedown but Cain gets double underhooks and turns Robson into the cage.

Cain lands with a nice body punch.

Robson drives through and clinches with Cain against the cage.

Robson pulls guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Robson is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Cain presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Robson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Robson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cain pinned against the cage. Cain gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Cain moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Robson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Cain throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Robson.
Bobby Robson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
No joy there for Cain, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Robson has Cain pressed against the cage.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Robson.
Robson gets a warning from the ref for wasting time.
Robson lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rain Cain showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Robson shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Cain tries to bum rush Robson with a series of wild strikes but Robson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Robson tries to counter by clinching up but Cain breaks away and moves out of range.

Robson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cain defends well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Robson is adopting a defensive guard.
Cain wants to get up but he can't break Robson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Cain wanted to stand there but Robson had control of the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Robson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cain sprawls well. Cain wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Robson gets slowly back to his feet.
Rain Cain seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Cain throws a body shot but no joy.
Cain throws a series of punches but Robson moves out of range.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The fighters circle momentarily. Cain darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Cain swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Robson makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Robson darts in looking for a takedown but Cain gets double underhooks and turns Robson into the cage.
Cain throws out a counter right but Robson avoids it with no problem.
Cain has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Robson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bobby Robson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Robson clinches up with Cain and pushes him back against the cage.
Robson is trying to drag Cain to the mat but Cain just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Cain is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Robson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Cain's efforts to push away.

Robson breaks the clinch.
Robson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Cain throws a combination. Robson tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Robson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Cain defends well and Robson ends up having to push Cain into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Cain misses with a few strikes there.
The crowd cheers as Cain lands an impressive looking overhand right. Robson doesn't seem phased though.
Cain fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Cain throws a shot to the body.
Cain scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Robson doesn't seem bothered though.
Rain Cain is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Cain lands with an overhand left.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cain lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Robson backs up against the cage.
Robson takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Cain moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Cain shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Robson eats them both and turns towards Cain to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Cain lands with a cross.
Cain swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Robson.
Rain Cain is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Robson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cain's waist but Cain gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Robson off to one side.
Cain lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Bobby Robson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Robson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cain tries to avoid it but Robson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cain to the ground. Cain escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
Rain Cain comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Cain has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
