Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Will Oldham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Galt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Galt has chosen My Way - Limp Bizkit as his entrance music. Will Oldham has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Will Oldham!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, John Galt!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Colin Fotheringham and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Galt feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Oldham trying to keep a closed guard but Galt is proving a slippery customer.

Oldham is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Galt is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Galt shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Galt showed some decent athleticism there.
Galt thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Galt is looking to take a break and control but Oldham is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
A big left from Oldham misses.
John Galt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Oldham fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Galt, pushing him back against the cage.
Oldham tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Galt just stands there and leans against the cage.
Oldham gets underhooks to prevent Galt's takedown attempt.

Oldham struggles to land a body shot inside as Galt controls his hands.
Oldham drops down looking for an ankle pick but Galt pulls his leg out and moves away.

Galt throws a sloppy strike and Oldham uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Oldham has ended up in Galt's guard.

Oldham stays in close to Galt's body and controls the position.
Galt is trying to control the position but Oldham postures up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Galt shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Oldham's guard.

Galt seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Oldham does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Oldham is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Galt looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Galt is trying to control the action in half guard but Oldham is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Galt looks to clinch

and Oldham moves into the clinch.

Galt is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Oldham can't fight it off and eventually Galt manages to take the fight to the floor. Oldham looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Galt dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Oldham clinches up against the cage.

Oldham escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Galt shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Oldham's guard.

Oldham working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Galt doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Galt manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Galt is fighting to break Oldham's control of his arms but Oldham is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Oldham wanted to stand there but Galt had control of the position.
Galt looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Oldham puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Still in half guard, Oldham seems content to control.
Oldham is looking to advance position but Galt won't allow it.
Oldham has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Galt holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Oldham tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Galt reaches up to try and control the position but Oldham seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Galt rolls and tries to escape and now Oldham has his back!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Oldham punches the canvas rather than the man.
Galt staying busy and making it hard for Oldham to control.

Oldham is working for a rear naked choke. Galt is not defending it well and Oldham has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Galt refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Galt's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:34 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Will Oldham!
