Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Natan Grasel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grasel comes to the cage accompanied by Kaney West- Champion. Grasel is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane Hunter!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Hunter tries to clinch up but Grasel circles away and keeps his distance.
Grasel swats away the attempt to clinch by Hunter.
Hunter fails to land with a series of punches.
Hunter shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Grasel as he jumps to the side.
Grasel is breathing heavily.

Hunter feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Grasel keeping moving, preventing Hunter from controlling successfully.
Hunter not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Hunter gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Grasel circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hunter connects with a right hand. Grasel shakes it off.
Hunter shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Grasel as he avoids it easily.

Hunter shoots for a takedown but Grasel saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Hunter fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Grasel manages to avoid it.
Hunter looks to score with a jab to the body but Grasel is just out of range.
Shane Hunter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hunter just misses with a punch to the body.
Hunter looks for a takedown but Grasel sprawls well.

Hunter drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
No joy there for Hunter, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hunter tries to clinch but Grasel moves out of range.
Grasel avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hunter.

Grasel closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Hunter is trying to control Grasel's posture but Grasel avoids it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shane Hunter dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Hunter rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Grasel moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hunter fails with the takedown

so Grasel counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Hunter uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Hunter tries to clinch up
and Grasel counters with a body kick that stops Hunter in his tracks momentarily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

and Grasel counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hunter won't be happy with that.

Hunter misses with an elbow from the bottom.
Hunter manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Hunter is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Grasel sees it coming and defends easily.
Grasel wants to improve his position but Hunter is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Hunter is taking a breather. Grasel says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Hunter tries to pass to full mount but Grasel defends it.

Hunter can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Grasel is looking to escape.
Hunter lands with some strikes.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Grasel is squirming around, avoiding Hunter's attempts to control the action.
Hunter landing punches.
Hunter can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Grasel is looking to escape.

Hunter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Grasel's waist but Grasel gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hunter off to one side.

Grasel knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hunter on the ground.
