Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Wayne (ranked 4102 p4p, 451 weight class) and Max Svensoon (ranked 6782 p4p, 581 weight class). Max Svensoon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeremy Wayne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Max Svensoon!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Svensoon will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Svensoon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Wayne pulls out of a head kick attempt.
We've been hearing reports that Wayne has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Wayne blocks a head kick by Svensoon.
Wayne scores with a crisp jab that stopped Svensoon in his tracks.

It looks like Max Svensoon has been cut.
Svensoon closes the distance and clinches up with Wayne, looking for a takedown. Svensoon pushes Wayne against the cage but Wayne circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Svensoon is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wayne misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Svensoon.
Svensoon jumps guard but Wayne stands there with Svensoon around his waist. Svensoon gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Svensoon's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Svensoon is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Wayne pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Jeremy Wayne has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Svensoon.

Svensoon pulls guard.
Svensoon looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Wayne puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Wayne stands up and beckons Svensoon to join him on the feet.
Wayne lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Svensoon circles away quickly and effectively.

Wayne gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Wayne lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Wayne looking to throw knees to the head but Svensoon is blocking nicely.

Wayne escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Svensoon.
Svensoon looks for a takedown but Wayne sprawls well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wayne avoids the head kick by Svensoon.
Wayne scores with a one two! Svensoon had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
This has been an exciting period of action!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Svensoon crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Wayne - the referee stops the clock and Svensoon gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Wayne. Svensoon manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Wayne lands a two punch combo.

That has opened up Max Svensoon's cut even more.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Wayne! Svensoon is out on his feet! Wayne rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Svensoon is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Svensoon is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
