Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nico Bake (ranked 5193 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Reisman (ranked 4921 p4p, 471 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, George Reisman!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Bake. No joy for Reisman on that attempt.
Bake lands a nice looking body kick.

Bake drives through with a takedown into guard.
Bake wants to pass the guard but Reisman is keeping the position.
Reisman doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Bake scoring with some ground and pound.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bake is in close to Reisman's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Reisman is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Bake is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Bake has escaped and now he's on top!

Bake throws an elbow that misses. Reisman uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bake's guard. Nice move by Reisman!

Bake has managed to clinch.
Reisman drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bake gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Reisman tries to score a body lock takedown but Bake shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Nico Bake has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Reisman.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bake lands a nice knee to the body.

Bake wants the takedown. Reisman is fighting it off but Bake persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Reisman's guard against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bake fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Reisman sprawls well initially but Bake persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Nico Bake overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Bake avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Bake looking to hit a scissor sweep but Reisman is one step ahead there.

Bake escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Reisman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Bake is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Reisman can do to turn this around?
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Reisman wants to pass the guard but Bake is keeping the position.

Reisman looking to sit in guard and control but Bake gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Bake tries to free his leg and advance position but Reisman is retaining full guard.

Bake drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Reisman manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bake has Reisman in his guard.

Bake is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Reisman trying to control the position from guard on top but Bake is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bake is trying to keep Reisman in close.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

so Bake counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!



Bake bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Bake moves into full mount!

Bake jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Reisman is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Reisman and Bake has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
You can see the frustration on Reisman's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Reisman tries to lock up and control but Bake gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Bake lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Reisman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bake swivels though and keeps the full guard.
