Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Alaba.

Alaba wants to get back to his feet but st is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

st has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

st is working Alaba over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

st sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Alaba's guard.

st is working for a submission of some sort.

st throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Alaba to regain full guard.
st postures up in Alaba's guard and throws a big left but Alaba blocks it.
st throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Alaba works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
st pushes down on Alaba's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Alaba really doesn't want to stay on the ground with st. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Alaba wants to get back to full guard.
st is nestled in close to Alaba, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

st is pressing down on Alaba's thigh, looking to free his foot. Alaba is holding on for now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

st is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
st seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Alaba blocking the ground and pound attempt from st.
st has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
st not doing much here.

st takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
st not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Still in half guard, st seems content to control.
Alaba trying to control from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

st is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Alaba doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time st.
st prevents Alaba from improving his position.

That's time! st's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


st stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and st wants it to stay on the feet.
ge st is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Horrible takedown attempt by Alaba or perhaps it was just good defense by st, which made it look bad.
st keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
st half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
ge st has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Alaba.
Alaba tries to score a power double leg takedown but st sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Alaba somewhat.

Alaba scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but st manages to mount him!
st content just to control the position here.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, st cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
st cracks Alaba with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
st landing strikes from the mount.


Alaba is rocked!


It looks like David Alaba has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
st loads up with a big shot that hurts Alaba! He's pulled st in close but st has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Alaba survive? More strikes from st and Alaba is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). ge st!
