The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paul shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hooper defends it nicely.
Hooper changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Paul is looking to land body kicks.

Hooper throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Paul tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hooper is in Paul's guard.

Paul pushes Hooper off and gets back to his feet.
Hooper defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Paul.
Paul tries to close the distance and clinch but Hooper swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
