Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Solomon Cook (ranked 6900 p4p, 157 weight class) and Cyril Makarenko (ranked 12889 p4p, 197 weight class). Makarenko has chosen Macarena - Original version as his entrance music. Cook has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Solomon Cook has the better chin. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cook tries a head kick but it misses.
The fighters circle momentarily. Cook darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Makarenko fakes the leg kick and cracks Cook in the body.
Cook checks a leg kick nicely.
Makarenko closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Makarenko lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Cook backs up against the ropes.

It looks like Solomon Cook has been cut.
Cook is breathing heavily.
Makarenko throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cook.
Cook takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Makarenko throws a leg kick but Cook moved away.
Cook blocks a head kick by Makarenko.
Cook takes a shot right to the bread basket.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Makarenko throws a body shot but no joy.
Cook's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Makarenko connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Cook scrambles back to his feet.
Makarenko throws out a leg kick but Cook moves out of range and Makarenko only half commits.
Cook takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Makarenko lands a nice looking body kick.
Makarenko ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cook moves away.
Makarenko throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Makarenko lands with an overhand left.

Solomon Cook's cut is getting worse.
Makarenko throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Makarenko misses with a leg kick.
Cook throwing a counter right hand but Makarenko manages to avoid it.
Makarenko throws a leg kick which misses Cook's front leg but catches the back leg as Cook tries to avoid it.

Makarenko tries a head kick but it misses.
A head kick from Makarenko lands but Cook takes it in his stride.
Solomon Cook seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Makarenko scores with a jab to the body.

Cook steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Makarenko. That one must have hurt.

Cook is rocked!
Makarenko throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Oh Cook is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Makarenko pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Cook seems to have got his legs back now.
Boom! Makarenko lands a massive head kick that sends Cook crashing into the ropes, followed by a classic face plant on the canvas! He's up to his knees but he's not going to beat the count - this one is all over! Makarenko is jumping around like a lunatic, extatic with the win!

A less than humble Cyril Makarenko misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
