Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sam Burns!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Bruno Lombardi and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Burns has closed the distance and engaged Fury in a clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Burns.
Burns doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Fury's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Fury throws a nice head kick!

Burns moves into the clinch.
Fury slows down the pace here.

Burns breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Fury gets tackled into the cage by Burns. Burns maintains the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Burns scores with a hook to the body.
Fury prevents a takedown attempt there.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Burns on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Burns has eaten all the pies!

Fury escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fury throws a series of punches but Burns moves out of range.
Burns moves to clinch but Fury breaks away
and Fury counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Fury misses with a double jab
and Burns counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A right-left combo lands from Fury.
Burns fails with a takedown attempt.

Burns darts in and clinches Fury up against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fury is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Burns is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Fury pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Burns's coach down at Tycoon Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Burns's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Tyson Fury has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sam Burns.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fury scores with a jab to the head.
Burns takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Fury tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Burns wants to clinch up but Fury keeps it at a distance.

Burns scores with a takedown into Fury's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Tyson Fury will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Fury counters with a nice low kick that buckles Burns's knee momentarily.
Fury tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Burns manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Fury throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Fury is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Burns can do to turn this around?
Fury bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Burns's head backwards.

Burns tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Fury manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
As Burns backs away, Fury returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Fury slows down the pace here.
Burns pushes Fury back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Burns misses with a hook to the ribs.
Burns is stalling here.

Burns tries a body shot but Fury blocks it.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fury tries to work over Burns's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Fury's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

That's time! Fury's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!

Burns walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Fury connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Fury is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Burns clinches.
Fury is pushing Burns up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

The referee is keeping an eye on Fury - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Fury tries to keep at a distance but Burns has taken the fight into the clinch.

Burns displaying some good clinch control by pressing Fury up against the cage.
Fury is pressed up against the cage. Burns has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Fury down to the mat. Fury avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Fury moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Sam Burns is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Burns tries to clinch up but Fury circles away and keeps his distance.
Fury connects with a crisp jab.
Fury is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Fury, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
