Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryoto Lachida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill McPherson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McPherson clinches.

McPherson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Lachida throws a right and a left that McPherson avoids nicely.
McPherson fails with the takedown.

Lachida feints and as McPherson raises his hands in defense, Lachida changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
McPherson wants to improve his position but instead Lachida has moved into half guard.

Lachida looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Lachida has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. McPherson is working away from the top position though.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with McPherson in particular looking to stall.
McPherson seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

McPherson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Lachida is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of McPherson, into his guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryoto Lachida. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Lachida is trying to drag McPherson to the mat but McPherson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

McPherson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ryoto Lachida is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Lachida rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McPherson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

McPherson closes the distance and clinches.

McPherson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. McPherson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
