Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zack Dingle (ranked 6734 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lasswell Hess (ranked 6560 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Zack Dingle !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lasswell Hess!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hess throws a low kick but it's checked well by Dingle .
Dingle seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Hess lands a nice leg kick that just misses Dingle 's sensitive parts.
Dingle tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Hess counters with a left to the body.
Dingle takes a jab right on the kisser.
Hess is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Dingle drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Hess wants to get back to his feet but Dingle passes into half guard.

Hess wants to control but Dingle is keeping busy.

Dingle is working for a kimura but Hess is defending it quite comfortably.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Dingle loads up on a big right hand but Hess slips the punch.

Dingle fails with a takedown attempt.

A close round but Lasswell Hess will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Hess feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Dingle s jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Dingle shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Hess counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Hess works over Dingle 's head and body with a nice combination.


It looks like Zack Dingle has been cut.
Hess throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Dingle drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Dingle with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Dingle stays in close to Hess's body and controls the position.
Hess is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Dingle seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hess for as long as he can get away with.
Hess wants to stand up but Dingle is controlling him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Dingle fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hess avoids it really well and circles away.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hess scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Zack Dingle is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Dingle shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hess is trying to defend but Dingle finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Dingle thows a huge punch but Hess dodges it nicely.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Dingle in particular looking to stall.
Dingle throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Dingle content to control rather than advance.
Hess really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dingle . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hess wants to get back to full guard.
Dingle is controlling the pace.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dingle is defended easily by Hess.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lasswell Hess showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Zack Dingle 's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Dingle shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hess as he jumps to the side.

Dingle closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Dingle lands in his opponent's guard.
Dingle controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Dingle drops back looking for a leg! Hess is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hess manages to kick Dingle off! Dingle jumps back into Hess's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dingle works over Hess with some ground and pound from guard.

Hess can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dingle controls the pace.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Hess avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Dingle looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Hess scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Dingle takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Zack Dingle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Oooooh!!! Hess has knocked Dingle down with a huge combo! Hess steps away and waves a wobbly Dingle back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Dingle is rocked!
Hess swats away the attempt to clinch by Dingle .
Oh Dingle is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Dingle with a poor takedown
and Hess counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dingle with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hess to score with a decent uppercut.
Crack! A monster head kick from Hess and Dingle falls like a tree - timbeeeeeeeeeeerrrr! A highlight reel knockout by Hess!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Lasswell Hess!
