The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Face shoots in but Monk avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Face darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Face wants to control but Monk is keeping him busy.

Face is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Face passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Monk!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
