Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kvame Zulu (ranked 29 p4p, 3 weight class) and Ross Kemp (ranked 58 p4p, 10 weight class). Zulu comes to the cage accompanied by Big Badaboom. Kemp has chosen Ross Kemp is gonna bust you up as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kvame Zulu!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Ross Kemp!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kemp uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Zulu.
Zulu throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Zulu sets himself, and Kemp steps forward looking for the clinch! Zulu avoids it this time.
Kemp swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Zulu counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Zulu lands with a thumping leg kick.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Kemp tries a low kick but Zulu avoids it.
Zulu with a body punch. A glancing blow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zulu throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kemp stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
A bone on bone clash there as Kemp blocks the leg kick.
Zulu backing away here, and Kemp unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Zulu lunges at Kemp with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kemp's hand.

Zulu misses with a looping left.
Kemp delivers a nice body kick.
Kemp scores with a shot to the body.
Kemp looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Zulu misses with a wild body shot.
Zulu backing away here, and Kemp unleashes a leg kick that just misses.

Zulu ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kemp ducks under a wild hook from Zulu.

and Kemp counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Kemp paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.


It looks like Kvame Zulu has been cut.
Kemp just misses with a punch to the body.
Kemp tries to score with a low kick but Zulu moves his leg out of the way.
As Kemp looks to move away, Zulu throws a big counter combo but Kemp just gets out of the way.
Kemp keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Zulu.

Zulu is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kemp.
A big right from Zulu misses.
Zulu ducks under a wild hook from Kemp.

Kemp closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Zulu lands a hook that snaps the head of Kemp backwards.
Zulu prevents a body shot from Kemp.

A short body shot lands from Kemp as the two fighters clinch.
Zulu blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Zulu misses with a hook to the ribs.

A nice right hand lands inside from Kemp.

Zulu lands a left hand that snaps the head of Kemp backwards.

Zulu blocks an uppercut.
Zulu works on Kemp's body with a couple of short punches.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kemp tries a body shot but Zulu blocks it.

Kemp's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Zulu connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kemp. Kemp circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Zulu moves out of range of the strikes.
Zulu seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Zulu gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Kemp counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Zulu lands a front kick.
Kemp checks a low kick from Zulu.
Kemp doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Zulu throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Kvame Zulu will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Zulu looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Kemp throws a lazy head kick
and Zulu cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Zulu looks for the body kick but Kemp saw that one coming.
Kemp lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Kemp misses with a right hand
and Zulu counters with an outside leg kick.
Zulu stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kemp.
Kemp on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Zulu throws a leg kick which misses Kemp's front leg but catches the back leg as Kemp tries to avoid it.

Zulu lands with a nice body punch.
Zulu throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Kemp misses with the combination.
Kvame Zulu is winning the standup battle so far.
Zulu lands a really nice looking cross but Kemp seems unphased.

Kemp rushes Zulu and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Zulu swings wildly with an uppercut but Kemp uses good head movement to avoid it.
Zulu tries to throw a body punch but Kemp avoids it by throwing Zulu back against the cage.
Kemp misses with a punch to the body.
Kemp throws a head punch that misses.
Kemp keeps control of Zulu as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Kemp lands an uppercut.
Kemp goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Zulu misses with some punches.
Zulu digs a right hand into Kemp's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Kemp's gas tank.
Kemp is breathing heavily.

Kemp pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Zulu pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Zulu throws a big shot that misses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Zulu counters with a nice body kick.
Zulu cracks Kemp with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Kemp let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Zulu with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Kemp tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Zulu was well out of range. Poor timing from Kemp.

That kick from Zulu tenderised Kemp's leg. Kemp is trying to keep his angry face on.

Kemp takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Zulu looks to land a combination but Kemp avoids it well.

Zulu takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Kemp has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Zulu.
Kemp lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Zulu buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kemp on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Zulu throws a shot to the body.
Zulu with a jab.
Zulu tries to land a front kick but Kemp steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Zulu catches Kemp with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Zulu throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Kemp slips a jab from Zulu.
Zulu moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Zulu uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kemp.
Zulu looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Kemp looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Zulu tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Kemp is able to avoid easily.

Kemp drives through and clinches with Zulu against the cage.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Zulu throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Zulu backing away here, and Kemp unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Zulu misses with a body shot.

Zulu drops Kemp with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kemp looks back up at him and smiles so Zulu waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.


Kemp is rocked!
Kemp ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Zulu moves away.
Kemp is still on wobbly legs! Can Zulu finish him?
Kemp glances at the clock... BAM! Zulu nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Kemp crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Kemp is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 4, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kvame Zulu!
Kvame Zulu retains his heavyweight title!
A victorious Kvame Zulu thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
