PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bubba Randall (ranked 24498 p4p, 162 weight class) and Alan Robinson (ranked 24733 p4p, 601 weight class). Randall comes to the cage accompanied by I Eat Pears and shit- Rick Ross. Robinson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Space Cowboy. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bubba Randall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alan Robinson!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Randall shoots for a double leg takedown but Robinson sprawls well. He's pushed Randall's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Randall looks for the body kick but Robinson saw that one coming.

Randall closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Robinson to the mat! Robinson manages to get full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Robinson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Randall.
Randall throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Randall might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Randall is looking to pass into half guard but Robinson pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Robinson is in guard.

Randall lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Randall missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Robinson can do anything to dispel that myth.
Randall throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Robinson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Randall postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Randall accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Robinson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Randall. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Randall chips away with some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Randall postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Randall content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Randall throws a big elbow that misses.
Randall working some strikes from top position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Randall gets to his feet and stands over Robinson, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Robinson felt that one! Randall unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Robinson from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bubba Randall!
Alan Robinson was interviewed post fight and said 'Hey, man, wait for me, we'll meet again. I have to rush back to a new training session.'.
