Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tim Andrews (ranked 5020 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Henry (ranked 5504 p4p, 419 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, William Henry!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Henry.
Andrews dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Henry fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Andrews sprawls well initially but Henry persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Andrews is looking to control Henry's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Andrews avoid being mounted?

Henry is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Andrews has managed to free his arm - good work.
Henry is thwarting Andrews's attempts to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Henry is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Andrews seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Henry does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Henry is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Andrews scores with a couple of nice shots.

Henry really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Andrews. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Andrews avoids the attempt from Henry to control.

Andrews is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Henry can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Henry can do anything to dispel that myth.

Henry bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Henry is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Andrews is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Andrews has escaped and now he's on top!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Henry accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Henry shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Andrews's guard.

Henry throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Andrews's waist but Andrews gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Henry off to one side.
It looked like Andrews was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Tim Andrews has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of William Henry.

I really don't envy Henry right now.
Oooh a big shot gets through from Andrews. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Henry is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Andrews off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
