Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Julius Turunen (ranked 1400 p4p, 162 weight class) and Jimmy Yates (ranked 2459 p4p, 274 weight class). Jimmy Yates will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Julius Turunen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jimmy Yates!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Micheangelo Fripello and Paul Gruel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab from Yates.
Yates walks into a left hand.
Yates misses the shot to the body.
Turunen misses with a looping right.
Turunen staying out of range there.
Turunen throwing a counter right hand but Yates manages to avoid it.
Turunen throws a body punch but Yates moves out of range.
Yates tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Yates cracks Turunen with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Turunen manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Yates on his heels. He'll look to pass Yates's guard now, I'm sure.

Turunen cracks Yates with a solid left hand.
Turunen gets to his feet and stands over Yates, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Yates felt that one! Turunen unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Yates from any more punishment!
