Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Li (ranked 25575 p4p, 649 weight class) and Manny TahHinni (ranked 5526 p4p, 0 weight class). Li comes to the cage accompanied by Space Cowboy. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
TahHinni shoots and misses

and Li counters by moving into the clinch.
TahHinni misses with a short punch on the inside.

Li pulls guard effortlessly.
Li is trying to keep TahHinni in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
TahHinni looking to pass the guard.
TahHinni looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
TahHinni would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - TahHinni has eaten all the pies!

TahHinni trying to control the position from guard on top but Li is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Li is looking to stand up but TahHinni isn't so interested in that idea.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
TahHinni wanted to stand there but Li had control of the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
TahHinni displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Li.
TahHinni is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
TahHinni throws a push kick but Li slaps the foot to one side.
Li wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Li lands with a kick to the ribs.

Li instigates a clinch.

Li pulls guard successfully.
TahHinni is looking to stand up but Li won't let him.
TahHinni controls from within his opponent's guard.
TahHinni wants to control from the top but Li keeps moving.
TahHinni throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

TahHinni slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
A lull in the action here as TahHinni stalls from top position.
Li is breathing heavily.
TahHinni throws an elbow but Li slips to the side and avoids it well.

TahHinni thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

TahHinni is trying to get an arm triangle but Li is defending well.
TahHinni wants to control but Li is keeping him busy.

TahHinni looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Li regains half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with TahHinni in particular looking to stall.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Let's hope that TahHinni has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Manny TahHinni will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


TahHinni dives in for a single leg takedown but Li sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Li is looking to counter the offense by TahHinni and move into the clinch.
Li lands with a nice body kick.
TahHinni misses with a takedown attempt
and Li counters with a left and a right that stings TahHinni.

TahHinni drives through and clinches with Li against the cage.

Li pulls guard.
Li not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
TahHinni wants to stand but Li has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
TahHinni slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Li utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
TahHinni stops Li from standing up.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
TahHinni shoots in looking for a takedown but Li manages to keep the fight standing, pushing TahHinni's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Bruce Li has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Manny TahHinni.
Li tries to clinch there but TahHinni circles away.

TahHinni is looking to regain half guard here but Li keeps moving and retains side control.
TahHinni is still trying to improve position.
You can see the frustration on TahHinni's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

TahHinni pushes Li off looking to stand but Li dives back in and keeps control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Li decides to pull guard.
TahHinni trying to control but Li is working from the bottom.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


TahHinni fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Li checks it well.
Li tries to counter by moving into the clinch but TahHinni manages to circle out of the way.
TahHinni throws a head kick but Li moves out of range.

TahHinni closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
TahHinni tries to break free but Li pushes him back against the cage.
Li tries to score a body lock takedown but TahHinni shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
TahHinni stalling in the clinch but Li improves position.
TahHinni is trying to stall.
TahHinni is trying to slow the pace down but that's a couple of times in a row that he's tried to get underhooks and Li has denied him.
TahHinni fails to pull the fight into his guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Li jumps guard.
Li trying to keep a closed guard but TahHinni is proving a slippery customer.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

TahHinni is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
TahHinni pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Li is keeping the position for now.

TahHinni is looking to stand up but Li won't let him.
TahHinni controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
TahHinni is looking to work some ground and pound but Li has wrist control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Li trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Bruce Li is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
TahHinni swats away the attempt to clinch by Li.

TahHinni instigates a clinch.
Li prevents a takedown attempt there.
TahHinni is trying to pull guard but Li has him pressed against the cage.
Bruce Li has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Manny TahHinni.

Li turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
TahHinni is looking to reverse the position.
TahHinni can't do much from the bottom here.
Li wants to lay and pray for a moment but TahHinni keeps working.
TahHinni sneaks back into half guard.
TahHinni has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Li is working away from the top position though.
TahHinni makes his way to full guard. A much better position for TahHinni.
Li has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

TahHinni bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Li's guard.

TahHinni has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Li is proving hard to escape from.
TahHinni wants to pass the guard but Li is keeping the position.

TahHinni is standing up over Li. Li looks to escape but TahHinni dives into side control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Manny TahHinni comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think TahHinni has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
