PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jin Kazama (ranked 24000 p4p, 581 weight class) and Shinji Takada (ranked 7770 p4p, 543 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shinji Takada!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kazama pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Takada blocks a head kick by Kazama.
Kazama tries a head kick but it misses.
Kazama lands an overhand right.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Takada lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kazama has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kazama and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Kazama tries to land a leg kick but Takada saw it coming and moves away.
Takada scores with a nice strike.
Kazama definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Takada throws a big shot that misses.

Kazama lands a head kick!

It looks like Shinji Takada has been cut.
Kazama tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A left and a right from Kazama both land. Nice combination.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Kazama lands with a kick to the temple. Takada shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Takada is rocked!

Kazama throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A nice leg kick lands there from Kazama.
Takada seems to have recovered his senses.
Takada fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Kazama misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Takada throws an off balance right hand
and Kazama counters with a crisp right that sends Takada to the canvas! Kazama follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
