Gardner comes to the cage accompanied by No Role Modelz. Chris George is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

George manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Gardner on his heels. He'll look to pass Gardner's guard now, I'm sure.
Gardner wants to get back to his feet but George passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gardner holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Gardner is pressing down on George's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Gardner holds on and takes a little breather.
Gardner has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gardner is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and George dives into side control.

George has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

George is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Gardner's half guard.
Gardner tries to roll over but George keeps him under control.

Gardner is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and George has latched onto it... Big trouble! George pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Gardner is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from George!

Chris George decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
