Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cristiano Aveiro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swimmer fails to land the takedown.
Swimmer looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Aveiro is looking to clinch but Swimmer is avoiding it.

It looks like Jack Swimmer has been cut.
Aveiro throws a head kick that Swimmer semi-blocks.

Swimmer is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Swimmer working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Aveiro doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Aveiro manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Swimmer wants to control the position but Aveiro says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Swimmer feints and as Aveiro raises his hands in defense, Swimmer changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Swimmer might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Aveiro kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Swimmer postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Aveiro is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Swimmer, into his guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Swimmer is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Swimmer jumps guard and drags Aveiro to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Swimmer has his foot on Aveiro's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Aveiro works his way back into a safe position though.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Aveiro is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Swimmer shoots in looking for a takedown. Aveiro tries to sprawl out of it but Swimmer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Aveiro manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Swimmer takes a kick to the side of the head.

Swimmer shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Aveiro but Aveiro pushes him off and we're back to square one.
