Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tank Abbot Jr (ranked 4011 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruno Helvo (ranked 5147 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruno Helvo told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Helvo uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Abbot Jr.
Abbot Jr connects with the punch.
Abbot Jr swings for the body but Helvo moves out of range.
Abbot Jr keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Abbot Jr thuds his right hand into Helvo's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Helvo misses with a takedown attempt - Abbot Jr sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Tank Abbot Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Helvo avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Helvo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Abbot Jr.
Helvo throws a fast counter high kick but Abbot Jr manages to duck under it in time.
Abbot Jr throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Helvo sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Abbot Jr scores with a hook to the body. Helvo takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Abbot Jr swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Helvo uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Abbot Jr.
Helvo is looking for the big counter here.

Abbot Jr throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Helvo sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Helvo tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Abbot Jr defends well and Helvo ends up having to push Abbot Jr into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Tank Abbot Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bruno Helvo.
Helvo moves out of range of the strikes.

Abbot Jr sends Helvo crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Abbot Jr is motioning to the referee to let Helvo up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Abbot Jr ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Helvo's jaw. Helvo's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Abbot Jr does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
