Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Matesic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Caldwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matesic tries to close the distance and clinch up but Caldwell swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Matesic closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Caldwell wants to get back to his feet.

Matesic wants to take a breather but Caldwell is having none of it.

Matesic tries to stand but can't do so whilst Caldwell controls his leg.
Matesic working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Matesic seems to be looking for submissions.

Caldwell is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Matesic pulls his head out easily.

Matesic is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Caldwell doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Matesic.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Caldwell misses with a takedown

and Matesic decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Caldwell's guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Matesic's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Caldwell has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Matesic off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Matesic shoots for a double leg takedown but Caldwell sprawls well. He's pushed Matesic's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Caldwell bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Caldwell working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Matesic is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Caldwell has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Matesic taps out!
