The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maddox tries to close the distance and clinch but scalp swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
scalp changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Maddox takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
scalp uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Maddox has time to react.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from scalp lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Maddox has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Maddox and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

scalp might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
