Boss throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Meat Boy counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Like Boss has been cut.
Meat Boy pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

We've been informed that Boss has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Boss lands a leg kick that knocks Meat Boy off balance momentarily.

Boss throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Meat Boy bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Meat Boy throws a counter high kick but Boss was just alert enough to avoid it.
Boss lands with a right hand.
Boss with a nice calf kick.
Meat Boy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Meat Boy on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Meat Boy lands a big right hand that sends Boss crashing to the mat! Meat Boy stays standing though and waves Boss back to his feet!
Boss is still on wobbly legs! Can Meat Boy finish him?

and as Boss loses concentration momentarily, Meat Boy counters with a picture perfect head kick! Boss goes down, out cold! The referee rushed in to check on his condition - I'm sure he'll be ok but that was a massive knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Super Meat Boy!
In his post fight interview, Super Meat Boy started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
