Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sonny Rollins (ranked 7223 p4p, 657 weight class) and Strike Spar (ranked 7850 p4p, 704 weight class). Rollins's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Cochise. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sonny Rollins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Strike Spar!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Peter Branson and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rollins is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Rollins throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Spar on the side of the head.
Rollins looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Rollins darts in and clinches Spar up against the cage.

Spar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rollins. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rollins's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Spar would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Rollins drives through with a takedown into Spar's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Sonny Rollins will probably get the nod.

Strike Spar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Spar stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Spar wants it to stay on the feet.
Spar turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Strike Spar seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Rollins lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Spar circles away quickly and effectively.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Spar lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Oh Rollins is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Spar throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rollins stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Spar cracks Rollins's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Rollins slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Spar can do further damage! This one is done, son!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Strike Spar!
Strike Spar seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
