Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Beardsley (ranked 5472 p4p, 180 weight class) and David Kelly (ranked 5503 p4p, 182 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kelly avoids a punch combination nicely.
Beardsley throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kelly.

Beardsley throws a lazy right hand but Kelly sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Beardsley will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Beardsley looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Kelly throws a shot from downtown. Beardsley moves away and avoids it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Beardsley throws a nice looking combination but Kelly bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Beardsley uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kelly.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Peter Beardsley.
