The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klein fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Klein wants to clinch.
Nice takedown defense from Kidd. No joy for Klein on that attempt.
Kidd looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Klein changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kidd tries to avoid it but Klein manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kidd to the ground. Kidd escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Klein shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kidd but Kidd pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Kidd tries to bum rush Klein with a series of wild strikes but Klein uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Klein looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Kidd throws a lazy right hand but Klein sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Klein avoids the head kick by Kidd.

Kidd throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Klein sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Klein shoots in and drives through. Kidd sprawls well.

Klein shoots in but Kidd avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Klein stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kidd.

and Kidd counters with a nice uppercut.
Kidd misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Klein bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Kidd's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Klein misses the body punch
and Kidd counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Kidd connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Klein has his takedown stuffed
and Kidd counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Kidd throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Klein stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kidd throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Klein on the side of the head.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kidd goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
