Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between hillbilly george (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Envidia Mata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mata is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Sinner by Drowning Pool. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Mata.
george looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Mata decides to stand back up. Mata steps back and let's george get back to his feet.

Mata scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Mata trying to pass the guard but george defending well.
george is looking to get back to is feet but Mata passes into side control.

Mata moves into the clinch.

Mata drags the fight down to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

george avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Mata's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Mata should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Mata manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Mata connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Mata gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, george regains guard.
george wants to stand up but Mata is controlling him.
Mata is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Mata postures up in george's guard and throws a big left but george blocks it.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Mata stands up over george, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

george has hold of Mata's hands but Mata slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

george flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
george won't allow Mata to pass to mount.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

george takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
george shoots in for a takedown but Mata shows good takedown defense.

Mata feints and as george raises his hands in defense, Mata changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
george controls Mata momentarily but Mata frees himself.

Mata gets to his feet - george follows without any prompting.

Mata shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Mata was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
george sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
george has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mata is working away from the top position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

george is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Mata scores with a couple of nice shots.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Mata stalling.
george manages to get to full guard.

george is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Mata seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but george does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Mata decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Mata shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mata showed some decent athleticism there.
george tries to get to full guard but Mata has control of the leg.

Let's hope that Mata has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Mata gets in close and instigates a clinch.
george prevents a takedown attempt there.

Mata works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Despite being in the dominant position, Envidia Mata just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

george keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well Mata has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
