Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Craig De Swardt (ranked 4325 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ralph Long (ranked 5019 p4p, 0 weight class). Craig De Swardt looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Long gets in close and instigates a clinch.
De Swardt looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Long is pushing De Swardt up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
De Swardt has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
De Swardt is trying to maintain a safe position but Long gets an underhook and turns De Swardt into the cage.
De Swardt is trying to pull guard but Long turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Long manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

De Swardt breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Long lands with a nice body punch.
De Swardt looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
De Swardt could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Long misses with an attempted mid kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Long instigates a clinch.

Long gets control of De Swardt's arms and successfully pulls guard. Long will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Long is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Long pushes De Swardt off and scrambles back to his feet.
De Swardt keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Long closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Long lands a body punch.
Long lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of De Swardt backwards.

Long gets control of De Swardt's arms and successfully pulls guard. Long will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Long has his feet on De Swardt's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

De Swardt keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Long's efforts to push away.
De Swardt keeps control of Long as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Long changes levels and goes for a takedown here. De Swardt fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Long lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Long comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Long wobbles De Swardt with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Long dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts De Swardt to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
